Gayle also has over seventeen years experience representing clients in connection with commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts, including litigation related to patent infringement and validity, breach of contract, toxic tort and environmental contamination and liability. Additionally, she has substantial experience defending class action securities lawsuits. Gayle has also represented several children before the Court of Common Pleas Family Division in connection with her volunteer work with the Support Center for Child Advocates in Philadelphia.

Gayle has also counseled financial institutions in numerous matters arising out of litigation and regulatory inquiries concerning document execution, foreclosure, and other debt collection practices. She has also assisted in the development of business practices to comply with state and federal law, and on regulatory settlements and consent orders in this context.

Gayle received her B.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, her Masters from Carnegie Mellon University, and attended the University of Pennsylvania law school where she graduated magna cum laude.
